Just a few words to get things started…I am Ron Morrell, I was a former Warthog pilot from 1983 to 1989, went on the the great “boring” holes in the sky airline job, was invited to attend the National Championship Air Races in Reno in 1992, caught the warbird bug…end of history and background!
I think the Pacific Northwest is lacking in some of the “Warbird pilot enthusiasm” so here goes!
I will do my best to upload and comment on and solicit a consistent amount of pictures, videos, hangar stories and other relevant (and maybe irrelevant) content to keep the readers interested and wanting to come back…feel free to help out.
BTW…I do fly a warbird, I do still go to Reno every year, I do get plenty of “round motor” oil on my clothes and bandage a knuckle or two working on my Nanchang as much as the FAA allows. less important…I do still do that airline thing occasionally when they corral me on my cellphone.
